One interesting fact about The Philadelphia Foundation is that Ben Franklin is one of our donors.  In 1790 Ben Franklin left 1,000 pounds sterling to the City of Philadelphia to hold and use for 200 years because he wished “to be useful even after my death, of possible.”  After 200 years, the City reviewed proposals and awarded the fund to The Philadelphia Foundation which it uses to support education in crafts and trades.

• Endowment Funds (consider choosing us in lieu of a setting up a private foundation). The endowment may be named in memory or in honor of your family, spouse, friend, corporation or nonprofit or whatever you so choose.
• Donor Advised Funds to help facilitate a donor’s wishes easily.
• Grants to sustain nonprofits today and for years to come
• Anonymous Giving.
